Crow me a River

Do you have foxes living near you?

Chances are that you do but have you ever heard them early in the morning when they are... well I don't really know what to call it? It's not a bark and it's not a howl. It's a bit of a combination... A Bowel I suppose. It certainly sounds like an animal having it's bowels ripped out.

Anyway, there is a worse sound than that. It's the noise that the crows make here. It's like babies being melted or something equally horrible. The first time I heard it was one morning outside the flat window and I thought someone was throwing cats onto the train tracks outside while the 6:20amd to Hornsby was passing! How can birds make such a stomach-churning sound? I've no idea!
