Flat for Rent

OK,

It's finally beginning to sink in that we are going to be leaving for the other side of the world soon. That's mainly been fueled by the fact that the Rep from Gilpro Letting was round yesterday taking photos for their website and the flat in now, officially "rentable" on their site.

Seems a bit wierd to think that some stranger is going to be living here for the next year (that is IF they get it rented or, more likely, they don't and I end up having to use crappy Ozzy dollars to cover the mortagage!).

Thanks for the send off

Hey Everyone!!!

Thanks to everyone that came along to the do last night. From what I remember last night I think that a fun time was had by all. Unfortunately I think I made a bit too much food and I'm going to be eating sandwiches for the next three days.

Had a great time at the Boho and Isla and I really enjoyed the company. The only down side of the evening was those stupid party poppers (courtesy of my drunk Mother) which are now all over the flat and I'm too hungover to clean them up!

On that note - thanks to you all for NOT coming back to the flat for the "after party". I'm sure the place would be much worse than it is just now!

Anyway thanks again. Isla and I are going to miss you all.

Sorry about the smell

Soooooo.....

....got a bit drunk on Tuesday night after 10 games of pool with Amit (since we are rubbish at pool that amounts to a lot of drinking). Anyway, got dragged to Boho with some other mates at 11pm and they made me drink too much and on the way home I decide "I fancy a pizza".

Not much open at 3am in the morning so stopped in at the 24hour shop and bought one to cook myself. Got home and battered it into the oven and had a wee seat on the couch.

Next thing I know Isla and Cara are shouting at me to wake up. It's 7am and I can't see who is shouting because of all the smoke. The whole flat was filled.

Seems that pizzas are not meat to be cooked for 4 hours at 220C.

So the flat stinks now and apologies to anyone who turns up on Sat! No amount of Oust or smelly candles is taking away the smell!

Boho Club Free Entry

Isla spoke to the owner of the Boho Club the other day. He says that if we are there before 10:30pm we should get in for free but these days the queue is round the corner and if we are any later than that we might not get in and it'll cost £8.

Definite emphasis on leaving the flat by 10pm. Doors open at 9pm.

Prep for leaving

Hey,

Things are moving along quickly now. There's not much left to do before we leave. The flat is being taken care of by Gilpro Letting and hopefully we'll make a bit of cash to go towards the mortgage.

As you can see from the COUNTDOWN there isn't much time before we leave. We are flying to Heathrow with BMI which should be cool as I'm a Silver member and that means that we get an extra 20kg baggage allowance.

We are spending New Year in Singapore and getting there with Singapore Airlines Singapore Airlines and thay are part of BMI Star Alliance so hopefully we'll get the same deal with the baggage.

In Singapore we are staying in the Pan Pacific Hotel which looks cool. I really can't wait. Then we head to Sydney on the 4th Jan and we have to find a place to stay. Wish us luck!

Leaving Do

As it's both mine and Isla's birthdays in Nov, we've decided to have our leaving do then as well. Besides there is too much other stuff on in Dec.

For the families... we are going to be having lunch at the The Left Bank on Gibson St at 1pm. We are going to meet at the restaurant NOT the flat. Isla and I need to get some stuff ready for the party after that so if you lot could do your own thing for a few hours that would be cool.

The actual do starts at 6pm but people can arrive whenever. We are putting on a spread which will probably last about 2 mins so don't expect a full on banquet! Then about 10pm we are going to be heading to the Boho Club on Dumbarton Rd.
