The Hunter - Revisited

Howdy everyone. Well we just got back from another fantastic trip to the Hunter Valley. It's all on the 365 pages so have a read. We really did have an amazing time and got to try lots of new wines that we've never had before. I've also become a dessert wine convert!

Big thanks to Jo and Steven for driving us up and back down. Made such a huge difference having a car with us to put all the booze in as last time we were limited by what we could carry. Anyway, you can see from this photo that we did well this time!

I've got no time....

That's correct... I dropped the speedometer off my bike and now it's buggered and only gives me the time in minutes as I can't see the seconds anymore. That also means that the decimals for the distance are broken too. So I guess there will be no more timing of my trips to and from the hospital any more. Woe is me.

Whasssssup?

Hello everyone. I'm sorry that I've not posted anything for ages but it's not because we've been doing nothing its just that we've been a bit busy sorting out our trip up north.

We've also been busy this weekend with the Observatory, longboarding, beer, wine and Harry Potter. It's all on the 365 Challenge so have a read as it seems to be a bit pointless writing everything twice. Suffice it to say we are still having a great time out here and now that the weather is clearing a bit we are back on form with our touristy attitude.

This weekend we have another trip up to the Hunter Valley and I can't wait. This time we are staying up there at the Mulla Villa which is a big villa full of spas and log fires and stuff. There are 10 of us heading up there for 2 nights and it should be a great laugh. Then we only have 3 days till we head to Queensland which we can't wait for. A holiday during a holiday. Amazing.

Incidently, any Docs out there who are disillusioned enough with the MTAS crap back home - my hospital is recruiting and desperate for Reg level staff. Contact Judy Muller on +61(0)2-94779123 in the JMO office and she will sort you out. It's a 4-on-4-off rota with 10 hour shifts and there's plenty of time to see Oz. They need folk ASAP (so that I don't get loads of extra shifts!!!)

Keep on running...

Whoo hoo.... "I ate a baby!" and more importantly I'm up to 11km now on the running front! Mind you after managing that today I now can't walk. Only 36 days left till the City to Surf race so gotta crunch out another 3km from somewhere.

Don't really know how the training is going to fit in with our 2 week tour of Queensland at the end of the month. Some bad planning there I feel. Anyway, any tips (as always) are welcome!
